Opening SQL 2000 DTS Packages from SSMS

I got my DTS tools working on SQL2008 SSMS. Here is how I did it.

1. I Installed the following from the appropriate links: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=536FD7D5-013F-49BC-9FC7-77DEDE4BB075&displaylang=en#filelist

• Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Backward Compatibility Components
• Microsoft SQL Server 2000 DTS Designer Components
  

2. Then I had to modify my path as described in this article: http://blogs.msdn.com/ramoji/archive/2008/10/16/how-to-open-dts-packages-in-sql-server-2008.aspx

• “Update the PATH environment variable in such a way that the path “C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\80\Tools\Binn\” appears before the “C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\...” paths.”
